Living in Cambridgeshire, Richard has spent the past 15 years championing Wandering and Jazz-hat cricket across the UK. A passionate cricketer and proud traditionalist, he has dedicated much of his time to keeping the spirit of the game alive through his involvement in heritage clubs and friendly fixtures.
“As an ex-league player, I wanted to find a home to continue playing the game I love—with the people that mean the most to me.”
Richard’s passion isn’t just about the game—it’s about community, connection, and carrying on cricket’s traditions in a modern, inclusive way. He is married to Zoe and the proud father of Bassy, who is already showing signs of becoming the next generation of Gentleman cricketer.

Charlie, who has always dreamt of playing cricket for England, was appointed the role of Treasurer by virtue of being the only member in the team who can count past eleven.
A reluctant opening bat, Charlie’s technical forte is the defensive body-block, often used ineffectively and painfully to wipe the shine off the new Dukes. As a fifth-change non-wicket taking bowler he beguiles the opposition with his slow-straight ‘un, which he insists should be the mainstay of a true gentleman bowler.
Charlie is married to Jen, who, being a relative of Plum Warner, has more cricketing kudos in her little finger than he has possessed in his entire life. They have two young kids who have played cricket since they were vertical.

“I’ve been a cricket coach for the past 5 years working in schools, at local cricket camps and at Thriplow Cricket Club with the ladies’ beginners set up. I started playing cricket at the age of 8; I love inspiring others to try cricket and encouraging the next generation of cricketers, as I was inspired and encouraged when I was young. I am passionate about the development of women’s cricket and promoting cricket for everyone.”
Jess works as a SEN teaching assistant and she has a 3 year old daughter who already has a great arm!
Fixtures Secretary
“Dom is a country man at heart, most happy in the mountains, the sea or on the cricket field. He had played cricket at the Gents’ home ground, Cokenach, since he could walk. A top order batter who looks better than he is, Dom also bowls left arm seam to varying standards and enjoys running around the boundary chasing cricket balls like a dog.”
